Situated 25 minutes north of Whangarei and only 20 minutes to Whananaki South Beach where you can walk across the longest footbridge in the southern hemisphere — Marua Retreat is located on a 444 acre sheep and cattle farm with beautiful rolling hills, which you are free to explore/walk during your stay.

“Great cabin on a hill with amazing views! Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave. The cabin is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped with quality cookware. This is where you go to switch off and relax, play a game of scrabble and admire the view. Small touches made the stay extra special. Leah kindly supplied key food items that one often forgets and the freshly picked flowers made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!”
